This is for the service department only. I made an appointment on a Tuesday to have my van looked at for what I am fairly confident is a transmission issue. On Tuesday morning, I received a text right away from my “advisor”. I thought, “wow this will be a great experience.” I was so wrong. I barely received any updates and when I did, it was only because I texted multiple times to get one. Everyday was the same thing, the technician hasn’t looked at it. By the end of day three, my advisor finally got the tech to look at it. He spent one hour “diagnosing” my car, couldn’t find anything but a loose axle nut, which to my knowledge has nothing to do with the transmission. I asked them to drive it because something is definitely wrong. He had a porter drive it. My advisor called at the end of their business day asking if I want to run out and pick it up or have them drive it again the next morning because of course he didn’t hear anything. At this point, keep it another morning, right? I really want my car fixed. I spent all day of day four, waiting to hear back on it. After several texts and no response, I call the service dept and speak with a nice enough lady who said she had been meaning to call because my advisor was off. You would think she would have told me that on the phone the night before herself, right. Nope. Diagnosis-loose axle nut. Four days lost. No resolution to the actual problem. $156 for one hour of work. And four days of my car sitting on the lot. I commute to work which I couldn’t do. I feel like I should be paid instead of paying for this. Moral of the story, do not think because you make an appt that your car will actually be seen that day. Plan for it to sit there for as long as you let it. If I had read all of the other service reviews, I would not have taken it there. That was dumb on my part. Again, I am sure the sales side is terrific. Service side - thumbs down. The second star is because the two advisors were nice enough even though my assigned one was unresponsive most of the time; probably dealing with all the other people wondering why there car is sitting there so long without being looked at.

Bob Poynter shops are unmatched in overall service and knowledge. They are always trying to help you out. I purchased my car from the chevy dealership. I brought my wife's van she got from Carvana and they knocked it out of the park. I recommend and go there for anything Car related cause it's always worth it.

Had my Fusion serviced / tune-up today 5/23/22 very friendly and answered all my questions / 5/9/23 had oil change done and all front end bulbs replaced, they had to remove front bumper to do it. Took a little longer than expected because park and turn bulbs weren't in stock had to go to Indy to get them. They ended up giving me a loner so I could take care of some other business which was nice of them to do. Very nice and professional staff.

We had a horrible service department experience that we will never go back. We bought a 2013 Ram 1500, the sales was ok, Trent was honest about everything. The problem was our vehicle has an air ride system. Bob Poynter Service Department work on and off our truck from November 2018 to April 13, 2022. It is still not working right. We was sold an extended warranty that didn't cover any of this.Now Poynter did cover alot of the repairs but yesterday I was told we will have to pay $1100 for a new control module that I told them 2 years ago it was bad. Now there are new techs and service coordinators who absolutely the worst people to even talk to. Andy was our service coordinator who likes to talk down and tries to intimidate. We will take our truck out of town for any service it needs from now on. How does Bob Poynter himself let this go on at the Seymour Jeep,Dodge location I will never know. Absolutely the worst service department experience we have ever encountered. 2 thumbs down! Buyer beware!

Service department is unable to handle the workload. They keep the mechanics overwhelmed and this results in rushed, poor quality work. This also keeps customers circling back to fix the original repair. This adds more work to the list and puts them farther behind. I needed mirrors changed on my truck. They were incorrectly ordered or not ordered several times. When they were installed, they were installed incorrectly. This resulted in a bent door frame, interior panel is loose, scratched dash, and the mirror needed to be reordered.

I recently had two terrible transactions with the service department. One was taking my car in for a recall. We scheduled an appointment for the repair. It was 2 weeks in the future. I took my car in and asked when I would have it back as I couldnt go more than 2 days. They said later today or tomorrow. They had it for a week and a day. When I asked what the deal was they said they didnt have the staff to get to it...... Im not sure why I made an appointment on my end if they didnt make one with a tech on theirs. It was resolved eventually. Second was my back up camera. When i put my car in reverse the camera didnt display but said contact dealership. I made another appointment and was told it is covered under extended warranty. I took it in and they had it one day. The service manager called and said the 650 dollar camera was for sure bad and it would take a couple hours. Repair would be around 8-900 dollars total. He informed me the warranty did not cover it. He said that is fine but it will be 90 dollars for diagnosing it. I told him that up till now I was under the impression it was warranty and no one informed me of anything billable prior to starting their work. I asked how they diagnosed it and his reply was "Well your screen works fine but the camera doesnt so its shorted and bad and needs replaced." If thats how you diagnosed then im definitely not paying for that. My 8 year old son could complete that in 12 seconds. Funny enough, when I got home the camera started working so they didnt diagnose anything...at least correctly. They waived the charge so I didnt cause a fuss but I wasted a full day of my life for nothing but poor work and aggravation. When I went to pick up my car I checked out the rear gate as I always inspect the area that is worked on. The interior top panel had tabs broken off from being remove and was loose. I was baffled they put it back on hoping I wouldnt notice I assume. I blame the tech and not the service manager. Service rep did order a replacement free of charge. So far they do not make the situation worse and tend to correct their poor service departments work by waiving incorrect charges and replacing parts they have broke but its really not worth the trouble to take you vehicle in for service. I believe I will continue to purchase my vehicles from Bob Poynter as their prices tend to be fair against the current market but I will never ever ever have a vehicle serviced here. I do have two warranties here so if they get better I will revise the post.

This post is to correct a review I wrote a few weeks ago concerning the service department. Although there were legitimate reasons for the review, I deleted it because I felt that I should give Poynters an opportunity to correct the situation. However the posting was read and noted before I deleted it, so I want to give credit where credit is due. The Poynter philosophy of happy customers was apparent by our newly assigned service rep Joyce. We were able to have a very friendly discussion and I walked away satisfied as a customer. I want the service manager to know that I will not hesitate to return should I need further service, nor will I hesitate to recommend Poynter to anyone else needing their vehicle worked on. Thank you for keeping Bob's philosophy alive and well.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Kept my vehicle for 12 days, inspected it on the final day and “didn’t find any issues”. I brought the vehicle in for intermittent throttle sticking (a serious safety issue!) twice with no resolution. Any other issues this dealership has “attempted” to deal with are never resolved, except for a recall fix, which was just updating software. Purchasing a vehicle here is an amazing experience, but I would NEVER recommend their service department to anyone.

Quick oil change and tire rotation, 40 mins, but it had to be booked 2 days in advance. Free beverages, WiFi and a comfortable waiting area were appreciated. Update Feb 2020 - Just bought my next used vehicle. Excellent service, good prices and they were very willing to work with me to fix any issues before the purchase.

I had an excellent experience dealing with the service department. Will Smith a d Pharrell are awesome, easy to work with, customer drive, and care about doing the right thing. I had other dealers look at my issue and claim it’s normal, but with Will and Pharrell they listened, did their due diligence, and confirmed I have an issue that need to be addressed - they followed proper troubleshooting and investigation to determine whether my concern was legit or not. Thank you! 6/21 update: I can’t say enough about the excellent service I have received from Will, Pharrell, Pat, and Josh. You guys are awesome. The noise issue has been resolved. You are customer driven, caring and easy to deal with, always maintaining a positive attitude, very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and you go far an beyond to meet and exceed the customer expectations. Terrible Service Dept. Strike 1 Took a Dodge Avenger to them to get key made they said it needed a computer. So I took it to Ace to have another key made. 10 Min $80. Strike 2 Took a PT Cruiser to them and they said it needed a transmission body. $1100 quote. Took it to another shop and it was a $30.00 wire that needed fixed. Strike 3 Took a Pacific to them because some broke the lock cylinder. Called me and said it needed modilizer. 365.00. I said ok do it. Called back and said it need a lock Cylinder $145.00. I said ok get it fixed. Called back again and said it needed a TPM $1100.00. Basical paid they $ $565.00 for nothing because I wouldn’t let them throw another part at it. Towed it there and then had to tow it away from there. These guys don’t have a clue on diagnostics of a car. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I’ve been to This Bob Poynter location two times in the last three months and have been completely satisfied on both occasions! Both times my car had to stay a few days for the repairs that were needed and both times I was given a vehicle to use while mine was with them. The vehicles were very nice brand new Jeep models which really sweetened the deal. The pricing is reasonable but the customer care beats all. I’ll definitely be returning for all my Jeep needs, and I highly recommend to anyone who’s needing maintenance done or you just wanna see some super nice Jeeps to go visit Bob Poynter Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Seymour :)
