I wish "0" stars was an option. I Don't recommend buying a used vehicle from them. I called and explained that i was an hour away and would be coming with cash and pre approval to buy a used vehicle for $20000. I asked if there was any issues and wanted to make sure that everything was good before I luged my pregnant wife an hour to see a car. I was assured it was a quality car. When I got there the sales person gave me the keys and explained he was working with another customer and would get to me when he was finished. The lack of care for us was obvious from the entire staff as they only gave attention to customers buying new cars. When I got in the car, it had low air in the tires and I asked them to put air in the tires for a test drive and they said it would be fine to drive without adding air. Reluctantly we drove the car. It had serious vibrations and definition had something going on with the drive train. As I returned from the short drive, the check engine light came on. I went to the sales manager to complain and his body language definitely showed he didn't care. He even stopped mid conversation to address someone else's complaints on another vehicle they had issues with. Basically the attitude was if you dont want the car, why are you still here. Seymour doesn't have many car lots I assume and it's a shame that anyone looking for a second vehicle, or even a good quality used vehicle has to go there and deal with them.

Never use these guys. I purchased a 2020 Sonic a few years ago and the salesman, Trent, assured me that the used car was a certified Used Car with a warranty. Come to find out when the car started having engine trouble with the water pump that I only had power train warranty, which was *not* what I was assured. When I brought this to the salesman's attention, he assured me that he would get me the warranty and I never heard back. I finally got so disgusted that I traded it into Carver Toyota in Columbus. Don't work with these people and don't trust them.

Buyer beware, pointed out that they put c rated tires on a 2500 truck, which is a big nono. Instead of doing the right thing, they just stopped responding to my emails on the vehicle. If someone buys that vehicle and tows with it unknowingly, they could be in for a very bad day.

Horrible experience. Was supposed to be done in a day and they’ve had it for 2 1/2 days. Was supposed to start on my vehicle on Wednesday and they didn’t start my service till the following Thursday after telling me “it’s about done we’re wrapping everything up” as they haven’t even started it. Have had to find rides for the past 2 days to work and back and going to have to find someone to pick up my vehicle as I live 30 mins away because I have to work. Every person I talked to was rude and lied to me.

Great experience. Went in not wanting to go back and forth, gave me the best deal on my trades first time (by a long shot to) and gave me a good deal on the ones I was buying. Didn’t have to argue about a second key was going to make one before I even realized it only had one key. It was one of the best car buying experiences. Will be returning later in the future.

Absolutely terrible service, I am reminded why I don't take my vehicles to their service center, I walked in last Wednesday and the two guys behind that counter both looked at me and went back to starring at their computers, not a I will be with you in a moment, good morning, nothing A lady walked in was very nice got me checked in and pointed me to my service adviser. One of the guys that didn't help me when I first came in, he acted like it was putting him out by having to take my information and get me loaner car. I asked him when they would get my car in to get looked at, I had an appt for that day. All he said was I don't know we are short tech's. I didn't hear anything from him for two days I had to call, and he sounded like I was putting him out wanting an update on MY Car. His response it still hasn't been looked at they don't have any Tech's. They have had my vehicle for 7 days and the only time I have gotten an update is when I had to call and leave a message. Absolutely No customer service skills rude as ever, sounds like he just woke up from a nap. So not only does their service team lack professionalism but they don't have anyone that can diagnose a vehicle. I made an appointment it should not take them 7 days to look at my vehicle to figure out what is going on.

I have purchased multiple vehicles at Bob Poynter over the years. Always felt like a relieved a good deal. Not this time. I found a vehicle i really liked. It was Saturday and they were closing (no problem). The sales person I spoke with looked me in the face and told me my business would be earned. I asked for a better price. I was told they would put some numbers together and send to me Monday. Monday they send me the exact prices that were all ready listed and they couldn't work anything lower. I mean come on. If a dealer has a car listed for 20k. And then say we can work something for you having them show you a paper saying 24k after all fees with a 20k selling price.... I felt like I wasted my time to even go there. I have bought 4 vehicles from poynter but they don't seem to really want to sell. At least knock off 100 bucks just to keep me talking. Not smart at all.

This is for the service department only. I made an appointment on a Tuesday to have my van looked at for what I am fairly confident is a transmission issue. On Tuesday morning, I received a text right away from my “advisor”. I thought, “wow this will be a great experience.” I was so wrong. I barely received any updates and when I did, it was only because I texted multiple times to get one. Everyday was the same thing, the technician hasn’t looked at it. By the end of day three, my advisor finally got the tech to look at it. He spent one hour “diagnosing” my car, couldn’t find anything but a loose axle nut, which to my knowledge has nothing to do with the transmission. I asked them to drive it because something is definitely wrong. He had a porter drive it. My advisor called at the end of their business day asking if I want to run out and pick it up or have them drive it again the next morning because of course he didn’t hear anything. At this point, keep it another morning, right? I really want my car fixed. I spent all day of day four, waiting to hear back on it. After several texts and no response, I call the service dept and speak with a nice enough lady who said she had been meaning to call because my advisor was off. You would think she would have told me that on the phone the night before herself, right. Nope. Diagnosis-loose axle nut. Four days lost. No resolution to the actual problem. $156 for one hour of work. And four days of my car sitting on the lot. I commute to work which I couldn’t do. I feel like I should be paid instead of paying for this. Moral of the story, do not think because you make an appt that your car will actually be seen that day. Plan for it to sit there for as long as you let it. If I had read all of the other service reviews, I would not have taken it there. That was dumb on my part. Again, I am sure the sales side is terrific. Service side - thumbs down. The second star is because the two advisors were nice enough even though my assigned one was unresponsive most of the time; probably dealing with all the other people wondering why there car is sitting there so long without being looked at.

Bought a piece of crap 2013 Jeep in August. Yes as is but still. Have had issues since 2 weeks after buying. Had it worked on 3 times since. We just dropped 3000.00 to fix the issue. Got it back yesterday and drove it 1 day and now it's having issues again. Will never buy from them again.

I made an appointment to have my car serviced for July 10th, and finally decided to just take it back August 16th. While they were able to complete the appropriate recalls and fix my AC, they did not fix my airbag light or order the key copy that I requested, despite my car being in the shop for 37 days. My service manager, Lori, failed to pick up the phone on multiple occasions, did not call back when I left voicemails, and only called me about two times through the 5 week ordeal. After dropping my car off for an appointment and discussing what I wanted done on my car, I sat down and waited for an hour. I returned to the desk, only for her to say that she forgot I was there and would call me later with the timeline/prices later. She did not call, and I ended out just calling myself a week later, where she did not pick up after multiple tries. I eventually went in person, only to find that my service sheet had been lost. As someone who has worked in multiple service jobs, I completely understand when simple mistakes are made, but it seems that this service department completely dropped the ball in my scenario. Instead of owning up to any mistakes they blamed my car not being fixed on time to ordering delays (I suspect that they did not order the required parts until weeks after my appointment) and completely forgot about my key, despite me bringing it up multiple times.

I brought my wife's van she got from Carvana and they knocked it out of the park. I recommend and go there for anything Car related cause it's always worth it.

I had a service on my truck done. When I left my check engine light came on. I called the next day and explained the problem. The service person I talked to asked if I had checked my oil, and told me they couldn’t check to see why the check engine light came on, and that I’d have to take it to a Toyota dealer. Usually they are pretty good, but I was not pleased with the man I spoke with.

Skylar Prange sold us a LEMON.!!! We purchased a 2015 Chevy Equinox from Skylar Prange at Bob Poynter Chrysler in Seymour. Just a few weeks after the purchase, the vehicle NEEDS A NEW ENGINE. Here locally, we were quoted $8,500 - $10,000 from different repair shops for a new engine. You cannot tell me that Skylar and Bob Poynter WERE NOT aware of problems brewing with that vehicle when they sold it to us! I DO NOT recommend Bob Poynter for your vehicle needs!
