We had a horrible service department experience that we will never go back. We bought a 2013 Ram 1500, the sales was ok, Trent was honest about everything. The problem was our vehicle has an air ride system. Bob Poynter Service Department work on and off our truck from November 2018 to April 13, 2022. It is still not working right. We was sold an extended warranty that didn't cover any of this.Now Poynter did cover alot of the repairs but yesterday I was told we will have to pay $1100 for a new control module that I told them 2 years ago it was bad. Now there are new techs and service coordinators who absolutely the worst people to even talk to. Andy was our service coordinator who likes to talk down and tries to intimidate. We will take our truck out of town for any service it needs from now on. How does Bob Poynter himself let this go on at the Seymour Jeep,Dodge location I will never know. Absolutely the worst service department experience we have ever encountered. 2 thumbs down! Buyer beware!

This has been the best and easiest new vehicle purchase we’ve ever made! Not only do we love our new Jeep Wrangler but the customer service we experienced was incredible and I’m honestly not sure if it can ever be matched. Jessiah was great and was all about helping us get what we wanted. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Honestly a perfect experience.

Among the worst car buying experiences ever - quoted the wrong loan rate in the write up - said "no hidden fees" and then added fees - said "don't worry, we will hold the vehicle" and then sold the vehicle - pulled out the magic "I have an additional rate discount coupon" after saying they gave us the best possible rate - claimed they texted us multiple times during the process and did not actually do so. Went so far as to say "for some reason I can't find the outgoing texts on my phone" Buyer Beware

Service department is unable to handle the workload. They keep the mechanics overwhelmed and this results in rushed, poor quality work. This also keeps customers circling back to fix the original repair. This adds more work to the list and puts them farther behind. I needed mirrors changed on my truck. They were incorrectly ordered or not ordered several times. When they were installed, they were installed incorrectly. This resulted in a bent door frame, interior panel is loose, scratched dash, and the mirror needed to be reordered.

They were also able to get me approved quickly and with no hassle which I was obviously very pleased about. I would recommend this Bob Poynter dealership to anyone looking to get a fair deal on a car and a great deal on the service.

I recently had two terrible transactions with the service department. One was taking my car in for a recall. We scheduled an appointment for the repair. It was 2 weeks in the future. I took my car in and asked when I would have it back as I couldnt go more than 2 days. They said later today or tomorrow. They had it for a week and a day. When I asked what the deal was they said they didnt have the staff to get to it...... Im not sure why I made an appointment on my end if they didnt make one with a tech on theirs. It was resolved eventually. Second was my back up camera. When i put my car in reverse the camera didnt display but said contact dealership. I made another appointment and was told it is covered under extended warranty. I took it in and they had it one day. The service manager called and said the 650 dollar camera was for sure bad and it would take a couple hours. Repair would be around 8-900 dollars total. He informed me the warranty did not cover it. He said that is fine but it will be 90 dollars for diagnosing it. I told him that up till now I was under the impression it was warranty and no one informed me of anything billable prior to starting their work. I asked how they diagnosed it and his reply was "Well your screen works fine but the camera doesnt so its shorted and bad and needs replaced." If thats how you diagnosed then im definitely not paying for that. My 8 year old son could complete that in 12 seconds. Funny enough, when I got home the camera started working so they didnt diagnose anything...at least correctly. They waived the charge so I didnt cause a fuss but I wasted a full day of my life for nothing but poor work and aggravation. When I went to pick up my car I checked out the rear gate as I always inspect the area that is worked on. The interior top panel had tabs broken off from being remove and was loose. I was baffled they put it back on hoping I wouldnt notice I assume. I blame the tech and not the service manager. Service rep did order a replacement free of charge. So far they do not make the situation worse and tend to correct their poor service departments work by waiving incorrect charges and replacing parts they have broke but its really not worth the trouble to take you vehicle in for service. I believe I will continue to purchase my vehicles from Bob Poynter as their prices tend to be fair against the current market but I will never ever ever have a vehicle serviced here. I do have two warranties here so if they get better I will revise the post.

This post is to correct a review I wrote a few weeks ago concerning the service department. Although there were legitimate reasons for the review, I deleted it because I felt that I should give Poynters an opportunity to correct the situation. However the posting was read and noted before I deleted it, so I want to give credit where credit is due. The Poynter philosophy of happy customers was apparent by our newly assigned service rep Joyce. We were able to have a very friendly discussion and I walked away satisfied as a customer. I want the service manager to know that I will not hesitate to return should I need further service, nor will I hesitate to recommend Poynter to anyone else needing their vehicle worked on. Thank you for keeping Bob's philosophy alive and well.

This place went above and beyond trying to help us out on vacation when our truck had issues on a Friday night at 4:30! Service tech Andy and the diesel mechanic who worked on our truck stayed well beyond their posted hours to help us out and when the repair couldn't be completed until Saturday morning, they let us put our camper on their lot and plug in for the night!

I have bought several new Chrysler vehicles from Poynters and it can honestly say I will not buy any more from them. Their customer service was absolutely terrible!! They never returned my calls and never kept me updated. I felt talked down to quite often, like I was a pain in their side! The jeep I have was in the shop for 6 weeks to get a brake line repaired. The brake line busted because it was rubbing against the sway bar link since they put the lift on. When I told them they reason, I was talked down to and told that could not be the reason! Well, guess what? It was the reason! I had to call Chrysler myself to get the hose expedited. I told Chrysler the same thing that I am writing here--I will never buy from Poynters again due to terrible customer service!

I just purchased my car from Bob Poynter Chrysler Jeep! After test driving many other vehicles at every big-name dealership from Indianapolis to Louisville along I65. It was Salesman Skylar Prange who found the perfect vehicle for me. You want this guy in your corner when you’re ready for your next vehicle. He did so much, but a few of the things he did were getting me top dollar for my trade, not pressuring me in anyway and being there every step of the way even on his day off! -Update- they fully refunded the money and were very kind and apologetic My name is Ethan Shelton, I purchased a vehicle from Briar Tidd back in December. I found out in the summer time my air conditioning doesn't work at all... Had I known this I would've gotten a different vehicle. I took it to a mechanic and he said it wasn't a simple fix and would be costly but knew I had a warranty so he suggested getting it looked at by where I bought it. I proceeded to take it here and Judy Hoene was very nice and helpful. A day later I find out that it has to be looked at by a specialist but I still owe 100$ for them looking at it.... I remind you I bought it with the AC not working then had to pay for them to say "it's not working take it somewhere else". Seems unprofessional to sell a car without knowing if the AC works and then not do anything to help that individual

First they misquoted my grandpa and then wouldn't honor it, he then offers to meet half way on the 2nd quote on a 40,000+ Jeep Grand Cherokee and they wouldn't budge over $500. I purchased a Ram from here and I won't be back. **update- My grandpa purchased identical vehicle at Russ Hubler Jeep in Newcastle Indiana for a better price and higher trade value, highly recommended dealership and worth the drive.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Kept my vehicle for 12 days, inspected it on the final day and “didn’t find any issues”. I brought the vehicle in for intermittent throttle sticking (a serious safety issue!) twice with no resolution. Any other issues this dealership has “attempted” to deal with are never resolved, except for a recall fix, which was just updating software. Purchasing a vehicle here is an amazing experience, but I would NEVER recommend their service department to anyone.

Tyler came out, picked us up and made the sale, at this point well past closing time.
